Kyle Petty is a former NASCAR stock car racing driver, and current racing commentator. He is the son of racer Richard Petty, grandson of racer Lee Petty, and father of racer Adam Petty, who was killed in a crash during practice in May 2000.
Kyle is active in many charitable causes, such as Victory Junction, a facility that serves children with serious illnesses and chronic medical conditions, which he established to honor his late son, as well as an annual motorcycle called the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America. The Ride has raised more than $19 million for Victory Junction and other charities that support chronically ill children.
In a thirty year racing career, Kyle racked up eight wins and 52 top 5 finishes, with career earnings of over$32,000,000.
